In organic production, the nuts ripen on the stalk until they fall. After the husk is removed, the nuts simply fall off. The variety is protected against diseases and pests by active permaculture and biodiversity. Walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, minerals; – manganese, copper. It is a good source of fibre and plant protein. Organic farming is a less productive, by design residual, but an ethical option. The fruit-bearing branches are not damaged. Eliminating chemical spraying, fertilizing, and bleaching reduces soil erosion and improves water quality in nearby streams and rivers. The ecosystem is regenerated.
